Some disturbing statistics:
- 300% increase in secondary cancers since the 1970s
- 1in 2 people will have cancer in their lifetime
- 1 in 8 women will have breast cancer
- 50% of men aged 50-60 have prostate tumours
- 70% chance of reoccurrence after initial diagnosis
- Every day 55,000 people are diagnosed with cancer
How lucky are you feeling? Or is it luck?
If you ask most conventional oncologists what causes cancer, they will blame genes. If you believe that, then it is game over. You are powerless. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
BUT, consider that it takes thousands of years for human genes to mutate, so how come the cancer rates have gone up in just a few short years? How come when people stopped smoking, lung cancer dropped? Perhaps a smoking gene? Why is it that Japanese women who have the lowest rate of breast cancer, match the rate of US women when they move to the US and adopt a Western lifestyle? Perhaps a travel gene?
When you replace the nucleus in a normal cell with the nucleus from a cancer cell with all the cancer genes, the cell stays normal. When you replace the nucleus in a cancer cell with a normal cell nucleus, the cell remains cancerous. Clearly, it is not the genes driving the cancer, but the environment of the genes.
You cannot change genes, but you can change the factors driving the expression of genes. Why is it that most cancer clients have a combination of heavy metal/chemical toxicity, pathogens, inflammation, oxidative stress, high blood sugar, an acidic body, low oxygen, low voltage, low immune function, low key nutrients, etc.
So, if these things are driving cancer, cutting, burning, and poisoning may give short-term respite, but it comes back. Re-check the above statistics. You have to deal with the drivers.
Are all cancer cells the same? No, there are stem cells and daughter cells. Think of the stem cells as mother cells that produce the daughter cells. Chemo and radiation do kill daughter cells but have little impact on stem cells. When a scan shows the tumour shrinking, it is the daughter cells that have shrunk, but the real bad guys, the stem cells, are still there waiting to come back. Oops.
Many clients coming to us will say, “My oncologist says that I can eat anything, just keep your weight up”.
Hmmm, really. First, what training do oncologists have in cancer nutrition? Most have none. Really? Second, why are they doing something called a PET scan? Simplistically, a PET scan involves putting a radioactive-laced sugar compound into the body. The cancer gobbles up the sugar and the scan lights up the radioactive material in the sugar. Oops, so cancer feeds off sugar. Maybe I shouldn’t be feeding the cancer.
Let us for a moment go to the medical studies themselves.
One study showed that between 2000 and 2016, the FDA approved 192 new medications/novel cancer therapies. Each one was accompanied by the usual hype of a substantial leap ahead. Yet overall, there was a survival increase of only 2.4 months and the quality of that time was substantially reduced. Oops!
How about this, “Overall cancer survival, following all kinds of treatment, is approximately 63%. Based on the calculations in the study the contribution of chemotherapy to adult survival from cancer was estimated to be 2.3% in Australia and 2.1% in the USA. The authors, two of whom are radiation oncologists, but one of whom is a practicing professor of medical oncology, concluded that ‘chemotherapy only makes a minor contribution to cancer survival’ and ‘to justify the continued funding and availability of drugs used in cytotoxic chemotherapy, a rigorous evaluation of the cost-effectiveness and impact on quality of life is urgently required’”. Oops!
Since the 1970s, when President Nixon declared a war on cancer, how far have we come? Not very. Is it possible that we are looking in the wrong place? There are integrated clinics around the world getting amazing results. Why are we not following their lead?
Follow the money. How come the same companies that are selling cancer drugs are the same companies selling pesticides, herbicides and chemicals that have been proven to cause cancer. Must be a coincidence.
There are literally thousands of studies showing the efficacy of supplements, diet, lifestyle, exercise, hyperthermia, hyperbaric oxygen, low-level laser, electromagnetic therapy, mistletoe, ozone, herbs, nutrients, repurposed drugs, and so many more therapies. Alas, this is not where the profit lies.
Global spending on cancer medicines increased from US$198B in 2022 to US$223B in 2023 and is expected to reach US$409B by 2028. As we see the rise in cancer patients and the need for new drugs, this figure is set to rise significantly through to 2050. Surely profit would not overshadow best practice…surely?
If you or someone you love has cancer, take control of your own journey. Do not blindly succumb and give your power away. Question everything. Explore alternatives. Life is so precious. It is worth fighting for. So often we have clients coming to us saying that they have been through the conventional journey, only to be told that their condition is terminal and to go home and get their affairs in order. If someone tells you that, what they are really saying is that their knowledge is terminal.
I am not suggesting that natural medicine can bring you back from the dead. It cannot. BUT if you can work with your body to give it what it needs and take away the barriers to healing, it will respond. Cancer is a natural response to an unnatural situation. A cancer cell is your own cell adapting to survive because it is in a crap environment. Change the environment.
Finally, natural medicine is not free or cheap. We do our best to keep prices as low as possible and certainly a fraction of overseas clinics. At the end of the day, what is the price of wellness?
Coming up in a future article is a story of a great and courageous woman who opted out of conventional therapy because of the horrendous side effects and fought her way back to wellness by giving her body what it needed and taking away the barriers to healing.
